Termite Management & Treatment

Long-Term Protection, Done Properly, By the Person Who Inspects Your Home

Finding termites or learning your property is at risk, can be unsettling.
The key isn’t panic. It’s proper termite management based on experience, structure, and site conditions.

At Under One Roof, termite management and treatment is handled personally by me, Alastair, a licensed QBCC inspector with over 30 years’ experience in construction, combined with years working hands-on as a pest technician.

That means any treatment plan is based not just on pest activity, but on how your home is built, how termites access it, and how best to protect it long-term.

What Termite Management Really Means

Termite management isn’t just about killing termites, it’s about reducing risk and preventing future damage.

A proper management plan considers:

  • The construction type of your home

  • Soil conditions and drainage

  • Existing damage or previous treatments

  • Access points and conducive conditions

  • Ongoing inspection and monitoring needs

My role is to help you understand:

  • Whether termites are active

  • What level of risk your property faces

  • What protection is actually required and what isn’t

Not every home needs the same solution. Experience matters.

ermite Treatment Options

If treatment is required, I’ll recommend the most appropriate option for your property and explain why.

Chemical Barrier Treatments

A professional liquid treatment applied to the soil around the structure to form a continuous protective barrier.

  • Designed to stop termites before they reach the building

  • Long-lasting protection when correctly installed

  • Commonly used for existing homes

Termite Baiting Systems

A monitoring and baiting system designed to eliminate termite colonies over time.

  • Minimal disruption to the property

  • Suitable where barriers aren’t practical

  • Ongoing monitoring required

Physical Barriers (New Builds & Renovations)

Installed during construction or major works to provide permanent protection.

  • Often used in conjunction with other systems

  • Must be installed correctly to be effective

I’ll clearly explain the advantages, limitations, and ongoing requirements of each option so you can make an informed decision.

Personally Managed, From Inspection to Protection

If you’ve had a termite inspection with Under One Roof, you already know:

  • Who inspected the property

  • What was found

  • Why certain risks exist

That same continuity applies to termite management.

I personally:

  • Assess the risk

  • Recommend the treatment

  • Oversee or carry out the work

  • Explain ongoing maintenance requirements

There’s no handover, no confusion, and no conflicting advice.

Ongoing Inspections & Maintenance

Termite protection isn’t a “set and forget” service.
Regular inspections and monitoring are essential to ensure continued protection.

I’ll advise you on:

  • Recommended inspection intervals

  • Maintenance requirements for barriers or baiting systems

  • How to reduce termite risk around your home

Everything is explained clearly, without pressure.
